Morning runs

I absolutely love spring – as I have already told you many times. I have more and more days when I go for an early morning run before school or work, and I feel so energized afterwards! These are still not my main workouts, apart from these runs, I still go to the gym in the afternoons.

I usually wake up at 6 am, have a great breakfast -today it was oatmeal with coconut flakes, banana and walnuts- and read the news with a cup of coffee trying to actually wake up. Today was funny! I was planning on a 7:30 run, so I drank my L-Carnitine shot at 7 am. By the time it was time to leave I felt a bit lazy and hesitated if I should go or not – but then I realized I had already taken the L-Carnitine and I really cannot waste it, so there was no way back!

At the time when I started the run, it was still a bit chilly, so I decided to put on a light jacket – but by the time I finished less than 20 mins later the sun was shining and it felt so hot already!

NΓ©vtelen-18363Another reason why I really like these morning runs: a gorgeous route. I’m running at our city park – which happens to be next to the zoo, have two lakes/ponds, a castle and many more amazing place. Furthermore, the gardeners of the park are doing a wonderful job, the whole park is really neat and clean with planted flowers everywhere. The little garden inside the castle is full of beautiful tulips now. I should have taken a picture, but I didn’t wanna stop once again.

IMG_20150424_075022The watch buzzed when I got to 50% of the distance, 90% and of course at the end. It always showed how much I have completed so far, but if I wanted to see my normal stats I could just push the button left – and I could still switch back to this screen again. I like that it had a buzz instead of a beep, because I was listening to music and I wouldn’t have heard it anyway.

  • Banana
  • Mixed berries (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, cranberry)
  • 100% whey protein (Vanilla very berry by Scitec)
  • Steel cut oats (uncooked)
  • Ice cold water

It was fresh yet filling at the same time! I swear there was no need to add any sweetener, it was just perfect all by itself!
