Healthy Home Made Berry Froyo

Few things can beat frozen treats during the summertime. Especially if they are healthy so you don’t have to feel guilty about it after you finished a bowl! That’s why I like to make my healthy treats for myself at home because thus I can make sure there are no unhealthy additions and ingredients in it. It got pretty hot in the afternoon, so I decided to make a healthy version of a berry frozen yoghurt / ice cream. Really easy, super fast, clean – you guys are gonna love it!

IMG_20150531_161305   First of all: frozen berries! I always keep fruits in my freezer for these occasions, comes really handy!
I used about one or two cups.

IMG_20150531_161425Then I added yoghurt. A little bit of normal plain yoghurt and about 1-1.5 cups of greek yoghurt, so your froyo will turn out nice and creamy – it really gives it a nice texture! But if you want it to be even creamier, try adding half a banana too!

It had a brilliant and fresh flavour but I decided to add some honey for a little sweetness to balance the sourness of the berries. And of course if you want it even sweeter, you can always add more of your choice of sweetener!

However, make sure to eat it right away, because if you wait to much, it will melt and lose the creaminess. I really hope you will enjoy this as much as I did for a nice refreshing treat in the summer heat!
