It all started when bae brought me a tub of Nuts’n More High Protein Peanut Butter that I’ve been wanting to try for so long but just couldn’t find in my country. I absolutely fell in love when I tried it for the first time. It was the original peanut flavour, but it was sweeter than regular PB.
The only problem is that one month later, I’ve almost finished it all. Because I love to add it to my oatmeal or clean microwave mug cakes, eat it with a banana after a run or occasionally just snack on it by grabbing a spoon. It’s seriously just so sad, I can already see the bottom of the container!
So after looking at the label again and seeing that it is made with peanuts, whey protein, flax and sweeteners, I decided to try making my own. I mean it probably couldn’t turn out that bad, right? So I melted about 4-5 tablespoons of peanut butter over steam and then mixed in one scoop of vanilla protein (this time I actually didn’t use 100% Whey but Scitec Nutrition’s Four Star Protein) – and it turned out really well!!
Its consistency is a bit different once it cools down, a bit more solid than just simple peanut butter but it tastes heavenly! And I still managed to spread it on my rice cakes for a study snack, so I’m all good.
It literally took 5 minutes, so I highly recommend for all of you to try if you want a high protein, quick sweet snack!
(In moderation of course, don’t forget that PB has a lot of calories!)
